This website is designed to provide resources to pastors and teachers seeking to expound the Gospel of Matthew accurately and reverently. Sadly, the Gospels are often mishandled by interpreters who imagine themselves to be the primary characters of the gospel story or who view the gospels as collections of stories with a simple moral to guide daily living. Hopefully, the resources here will guide interpreters to see that the Gospel of Matthew is primarily a testimony to Jesus, the Immanuel and Savior of sinners, and a New Testament book that is as richly theological as the Gospel of John or the Epistle to the Romans. These resources explore the history, theology, and Greek text of the Gospel of Matthew under the guidance of a scholar who has devoted decades to the study of this “book of treasures.”
